Still in London.
Second day was probably the most tiring one. We rushed from Westminister Abbey and Big Ben to Buckingham Palace to catch the Changing of the Guard. There were already big crowd waiting for the ceremony to start. Dah la panas yang amat! Anyway lesson learned; Better get there early or you won't see much. Since I didn't get a chance to watch them during my last visit, this was totally something to look forward to from this trip. I assumed the palace would be opened for tour during summer. But I got that info wrong. It's opened to visitors only from August to September.
The ceremony took longer than I expected but St. James's Park totally saved the day. The park was so beautiful and quite windy. Just nice for a short break. Only after 2 hours, the crowd finally cleared the Buckingham Palace.
From there, we walked to Hard Rock and then, took tube to Trafalgar Square. So crowded with tourists and pigeons. It was hard to sit and hang around the fountain as the Pigeons were crapping all over the place. Jadi, berhati-hati lah dengan tahi burung. Anyway, quick notes: National Gallery was still under construction, didn't realize there was Admiralty Arch nearby last time and Big Ben can be seen from the square. Definitely a place to go during your visit.
Around 5, we headed straight to Tower Hill from Embankment for Tower Bridge pictures.
That would be the end of Day 2.
To be continued.

This was my second time, so better be good. I planned this trip for so long I wish I could do it all over again. Best banget! Macam taknak balik.
We arrived at Stansted on June 22, excited and hoping to conquer every part of London this time around. We started out as early as 8 am everyday to cover everything from historical places to shops and malls. And finally after 4 days, this Londres trip was totally worthwhile. So happy.
The uploading might take a while since there were like 400 photos to choose from. Takde la upload sume. Banyak seh.
Anyway, the first part includes Oxford St, Marble Arch, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, House of Parliament and London Eye.
FYI, all the photos were taken before the bombing.
To be continued.

BBQ dan Bola
|
|
It was Fronleichnam (I have no idea what it is) and Mr. Ajih suddenly wanted to have a barbecue of his own. Later, I found out that he just bought a new grill so nak test power la konon. There were only 4 of us and it was a nice, chill bbq.

The next day was Kobeng's birthday. Lots of people around this time. So bigger crowd, more fun, huh? Hmmmm... Anyway, to Kobeng, happy belated birthday!

And on Saturday, we have MGSS Football Tournament. I was eager to go until I realized none of the girls from my batch would want to come. But since I've promised, I still went anyway. And for the third time, Heilbronn won again. Full day of football and guys in shorts. Fun ke??

Liza & Weng's Housewarming
|
|
These pictures were taken last May by two 'professional' cameramen. They battled each other that day and the following are the final results.
So here, I'm happy to credit the rightful owners: Elai and Itik for the photos.
The party turned out great. It was so much fun, meeting them again and eating at the same time. A special thanks to Liza and husband, Weng for the food and hospitality.
